As a sole practitioner, David Cox is involved in every aspect of each project from site assessment, concept development, detailed documentation, the approval process and inspections during construction through to completion of the building.
The design process is informed by the clients’ aims, requirements and preferences together with any opportunities or restrictions presented by the site.
The resulting design is a unique response to the circumstances and client preferences.
Design principles that are consistent across all projects include environmentally responsible outcomes, passive solar principles and in the case of rural dwellings, a desire for the building to sit discreetly within the landscape.
