Berry House
Rural Housing.
The aim of this project was to re-interpret the rural vernacular - prominent gable roof forms and concave verandah roof.
The north facing living area has a verandah on 3 sides.
The two bedroom wings are separated by a terrace.
Splayed weatherboards, double hung windows with operable louvres are further references to the vernacular.
Strongbuild
The verandah decking extends beyond the northern roof.
Splayed weatherboards, French doors and double hung windows reference the vernacular.
A south facing terrace off the dining living area separates the bedroom wings.
Traditional detailing and proportions contribute to an elegant verandah.
