Jamberoo Mountain House
Rural Housing.
The aim of this project was to design a home and outbuilding, in a prominent position within the landscape, in a manner which causes the buildings to blend into the landscape when viewed from a distance. A concealed roof plan, articulated form, muted colours and materials palette & shaded glazing help to achieve the aim.
Alan Jurd Building P/L

The east wall of the building opens onto the landscape at floor level.

Muted colours and a highly articulated form assist in allowing the building to blend into the landscape.

The brick base varies in height to further articulate the building form.

Clear finished decking and balustrade contrast with the hardwood weatherboards & windows that will weather to silver-grey.
