Jamberoo Mountain House – Rural Housing
The aim of this project was to design a home and shed, in a prominent position within the landscape, in a manner which causes the buildings to blend into the landscape when viewed from a distance. A concealed roof plane, articulated form, muted colours and materials palette and shaded glazing help to achieve the aim.
Builder – Alan Jurd Building P/L
The east wall of the building opens onto the landscape at floor level.
Muted colours & a highly articulated form assist in allowing the building to blend into the landscape.
The brick base varies in height to further articulate the building form.
Clear finished decking & balustrade contrast with the hardwood weatherboards & windows that will weather to silver-grey.
Detailing and materials palette of the farm office and shed match the dwelling
